Garden Centers have there own unique needs in a
point of sale system. Very often a Garden Center is a retail and wholesale
business. Your point of sale system needs to easily handle the pricing
structures of both types of businesses, The Retailer enables the cashier to easy
handles both types of businesses.
PRICE LEVELS - The Retailer has 10 pricing levels, when used with Customer
Management you can assign a customer (retail, landscaper etc) a particular price
level. Once the customer number (generally a phone number) is added The Retailer
takes over by charging the correct price for that customer.
STEP PRICING - This features lets you give automatic discounts either by price
or % when set quantities are reached in a sale. And with 8 steps available
larger and larger quantities can be handled. As an example your normal price on
a bag on mulch is $3.99 however if a customer buys 10 you want to lower the
price to $3.49 or to $2.99 when they buy 20. In step pricing the cashier just
rings in the product (doesn't even matter where in the order) The Retailer will
automatically adjust the price when the quantity is reached.
